AND FIVE! SIX! SEVEN! EIGHT! MUSICALITY IN BURLESQUE WITH BELLA DE JAC

You may have heard it mentioned a lot in classes or about dance in general, but what is musicality and why is it important to the Burlesque performer?

Sensitivity to music, feeling and moving with the beat is something that some folks are naturally inclined towards. However, it is also something that can be learned, improved and mastered. Regardless of whether you feel confident hearing and utilising the natural ebb, flow and beat of the music, or if you feel frustrated and struggle to "step in time" in classes, musicality is always something we can aim higher for as movement based artists. Learn how to feel the beat, between the beat, how different percussive and harmonic instruments relate to our bodies and why musicality has been so historically important to Burlesque.

BRING: Notepad & pen, clothes you can move in.

Saturday, 2nd March, 6 - 7pm, Noosa Room
